Had a wonderful stay at Dera Mandawa. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive, making sure every guest feels comfortable. The interiors and rooms are spotless, beautifully maintained, and every little detail has been thoughtfully taken care of. Durga ji, the proprietor, is a gracious host and made us feel completely at home. The support staff too was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and a great start to the day. They even arranged a traditional puppet show, which added a special touch to the experience. It’s the small, thoughtful gestures that leave a lasting impression, and Dera Mandawa excels in this. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaipur! ~ Rohit
Merci ! ~ CQR
Dera mandawa is one of the beautiful place which is in the heart of old city jaipur , that's the central attraction for people specially foreign tourist travellers and explorer where they can go and take the feel of real heritage house , the owner of this place is too good & humble , rooms of dera mandawa are very beautiful and sexy where one can take good sleep , the food is also good .. try some pakodi and indian veg which is delicious ... the best thing is they restored their haweli into proper manner , and in future it may happen that people may take inspiration from this haweli and start restoring their haweli ~ Archit M
We stayed a couple of nights in DeraMandawa House. It is a peaceful place in the middle of Jaipur, where you can relax after a busy day. Staff is very friendly, rooms are big and clean, where you can also enjoy tasty home made food. My husband celebrate his birthday there and we was surprised with cake, candles and a present at breakfast time! Really thoughtful! We had one of the best culinary experiences with Mr. Sing (the owner) where we walk through the spices market and learn more about Indian food. Food was amazing!!! Totally recommended! ~ Rita F
This small family run heritage hotel is a jewel full of Indian charm that's new the entrance to the pink city. We were greeted on our arrival by the owner who was absolutely charming and nothing was too much trouble. We were traveling with friends and we all had amazing rooms that were on two levels with plenty of space. The outside space is very peaceful and relaxing and you would never know you were in the middle of Jaipur. The food was delicious and all the staff were very helpful. We would defiantly stay here again ! Highly recommended! ~ David P
We enjoyed our time a lot here, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We felt looked after and that as two international tourists the food was safe and also delicious, the location was also great for getting picked up by tour guides. The room felt like a palace and was beautifully decorated. We also enjoyed the puppet show in the evening. Durga Singh is a great host, knowledgable and friendly we enjoyed meeting him and being welcomed at the hotel. Would highly recommend! ~ Elena W
Consigliabile! ~ Guido B
We stayed at this lovely family-owned establishment over the Holi celebration. Mr. Durga Singh is a proud, respectful and friendly owner who made our stay very comfortable and congenial. He admitted he gave us special attention because we were travelling with our children:) We were assigned the biggest room on the 110-year old property and it did not disappoint. Huge shower, massive main bed, lots of room to move around. We were so comfortable. The location is quite central. Breakfast is served by loyal staff who take respect, congeniality and hospitality to a higher level which I have not experienced. Mr. Baljit Singh went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. Breakfast is not a buffet but there is a carefully curated menu that has something for everyone. Dinner items also not a huge choice but what is offered is delicious. As we were travelling over the Holi period, many luxury hotels in Jaipur were costing more than $1000 per night. We are so glad we stayed at Dera Mandawa and would recommend it without hesitation. ~ Vandana P
This was an amazing hotel! Think of it as a fancy Indian bed and breakfast! The rooms are massive with plenty of AC! The service is incredible and the owner is so kind and accommodating and will help you with literally anything you need! The location is good enough to get to major tourist sites. Only slight down was the hot water was a bit hard to work with in the shower but otherwise this is a 9/10 in my book and a great place to stay to try something different from a standard hotel! ~ Mona A
A wonderful little oasis in the chaos of Jaipur. Mr D Singh and his delightful wife Usha make you feel welcome in their haveli, with spacious rooms, and a great attention to service. Highly recommended is the cookery experience with Usha where you wander through the markets with Mr Singh selecting ingredients, and then learn to cook on a traditional dung fuelled fire, as well as various other traditional dishes such as paratha, chicken curry and several vegetarian options. ~ Ruth M
Absolutely unique. The owners know real hospitality. I was welcomed by the owner Usha and her husband. I had great conversations with her. So I felt home. The place feels Royal, traditional and authentic. My room is amazing and took me back in time. The hotel keeps its original feel with a great service. All staff are super nice. If you want to run away from big modern crowded hotels, while you enjoy feeling of staying in a real royal-like Jaipur house then don’t miss this one. ~ Zina A
This is not part of any chain nor any type of standard 4 or 5 star one could anticipate. It is different, the rooms are different, and the service is different. Staying here is an experience. It endeavours to capture a Jaipur Royal home living. The rooms are consequently styled such. The service is warm, homely and uniquely royal Jaipur. The food is "homemade" and wonderfully so. For me an excellent experience. ~ NM R
~ Debby W
This is not just a hotel but the Soul of Rajasthan. Rooms are tastefully done and everything from your stay to the food is taken care of excellently. As an Indian I believe that these are the properties we need to patronize. Durga Singhji the owner is very learned man and his family is very welcoming and supportive. ~ Kishore K
Located in a bustling neighbourhood just outside the old city. The location is perfect for walking into the markets of the old city. The owner is very friendly and always happy to answer your questions. We even received a short lesson in Indian history when talking to him. Fascinating! Good rooms and the staff is always eager to help. ~ shreeshankar v
We stayed at Dera Mandawa a couple of years ago and it remains one of the highlights of our trip to India. The food was exceptional—some of the best we had during our travels. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the lush courtyard offered a peaceful escape from the city. Warm, welcoming, and full of charm—highly recommended. ~ k w
This is a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle, situated in a central location in the beautiful city of Jaipur. There is a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere to this small family hotel. The rooms are clean and have real character and charm. The service is attentive and the traditional Ragastani food is excellent. Highly recommened! ~ Rob M
Wunderschönes familiäres kleines Boutique bzw. Home stay Palasthotel.
A real heritage haveli. An aura of faded aristocratic charm, huge rooms with good bathrooms, lots of electrical points and some with outdoor seating. A bit of an oasis in this manic city, though the early morning call to prayer is quite intrusive. The owner charming and attentive. ~ David R
We really enjoyed and loved this place - with its authentic charm of an old haveli, still run by the family since 4 generations, green courtyard like an oasis, delicious breakfast and dinner, beautiful rooms, very nice service, ecologically aware… nothing to criticize! highly recommend it ~ ju g
An Oasis in the heart of the city. If you're touring the city, this is an ideal place to stay as it's located in downtown. The owners & hosts are related to the royal family & very very gracious with loads of stories to share to enrich your experience & stay. ~ Devendra S
We did a cooking class and had the most amazing evening. We would highly recommend this experience. The experience was very complete with a lot of insight and tips for cooking. We felt very welcome by everyone. Could not have asked for a better experience ~ Clara S
